March 25th Agenda, Documents and Power Point for EPA Stakeholder Meeting

The attached agenda and documents were distributed by EPA. The cover e-mail below is from Don Martin and Laurie Mann with EPA.

Spokane TMDL Stakeholders,

Don Martin, EPA, will be our meeting facilitator on Wednesday, March 25th. The Meeting Objectives are to:

· Describe the results of the 2001 model update

· Describe our proposed approach for the assessment and compliance

· targets, locations, and averaging

· Present our proposed TMDL modeling scenario to determine WLA’s and Avista Requirement

· Build understanding around agency decisions, and links between modeling, TMDL, and permits

We have attached the draft agenda and six draft documents (agenda plus 5 handouts), which have been developed by Washington Department of Ecology, the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality and EPA. The final two documents are provided primarily for the modelers. Please bring copies of these documents with you to the meeting. The draft documents are as follows:

· Spokane TMDL March 25 draft agenda

· TMDL River and Reservoir Assessment targets

· Draft Spokane River Allocation Scenarios

· Stepwise Scenarios March 18

· Technical Specifications for Model Output 03-17-09

· Technical Specifications for Scenarios

Note: We have a conference line available at 10:00 am so that modelers can participate in the morning discussion: 866.299.3188, code 206.553.0775.

The meeting agenda is very ambitious. We will need to pay close attention to the time. As we did in February, we will break for an informal lunch at the meeting location. If possible, please bring your lunch with you to simplify lunch logistics. A refrigerator and microwave will be available for your use.

For those that will not be able to bring their lunch, Andy, with the Spokane River Forum, has graciously offered the services of his organization to coordinate a group lunch order through a local catering business (probably some form of sandwich trays). The price will be in the $12 (or maybe less) range.

Please RSVP as soon as possible if you want to purchase your lunch with the group order. Please send your RSVP replies to Andy: andy@dunau.com

Have a safe travel and we will see you all at the meeting.

Take care,

Laurie and Don
