Spokane County has updated their website to include information about the Phosphorus Bioavailability Study that researchers at the University of Washington are currently conducting. The study is 1) evaluating the phosphorus removal from a variety of advanced treatment technologies that area wastewater dischargers are pilot testing, and 2) determining the bioavailability of phosphorus in the effluent from the pilot treatment technology projects. The website currently includes the study Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) and the presentation recently given by University of Washington researchers on January 27, 2010 regarding the study results to date. Additional information will be added as the study progresses.
