Join us for the 12th Annual Spokane River Clean-Up
on September 19th, 2015 at 9am!
Each year, hundreds of volunteers spend their Saturday morning picking up garbage and recyclable materials from our public lands along the Spokane River. At our last event the volunteers removed about 4 tons of debris from High Bridge Park all the way to the Spokane Valley.
This year, we plan to cover locations in the University District, the Downtown River Gorge area, High Bridge Park, and People’s Park. Our online registration is now open – so sign up today!
Whether you’re a first-timer or an experienced picker-upper, you’re invited to join the fun! The Spokane River Clean-Up is a great way to give back to the community while beautifying the river. Individual volunteers and groups from high schools, churches, and service clubs are all welcome to volunteer.
Recruit friends, classmates, co-workers, or your favorite club – you can register as a group or as an independent team. If you register as a group, we’ll make sure you all work in the same clean-up area along with other volunteers. If you have at least 10 volunteers in your group, one of you will attend our team leader training on September 14th at 6pm at Mountain Gear’s Warehouse in Spokane Valley – click here for full details.
If you register as an independent team, we will give you an area where your team can work on its own.
Online registration is closed, if you’d like to participate please go to go to High Bridge Park at 9am Saturday September 19.
