Mirabeau Cleanup and Restoration, April 14th

Please join the Spokane River Forum, the Veterans Conservation Corps and the Spokane Canoe and Kayak Club to continue cleanup and restoration at Mirabeau.

Date: April 14th

Time: 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Location: Mirabeau, Centennial Trail Parking Lot (Map)

What to Bring: Work gloves, leaf and/or steel gardening rake.

This begins the final phase of an REI grant to cleanup and restore this water trail site. On the 14th we will rake-up leaves and other debris, do some additional weeding on the hillside, and trail maintenance. This will prepare the hillside for hydro-seeding native grasses the week of April 16th.

Click here to see some of the restoration activities from last fall. So far we’ve removed 900 lbs of weeds and debris from the hillside, installed 135 feet of fence line, moved the kiosk and placed 7 loads of gravel and boulders to restore the trail and guide people safely to the river.

We look forward to seeing you!!
