What do Olive Garden, FLOW and ROW have in common? They love the Spokane River and want to introduce you to it. So let’s go rafting in June. Sign-up now.

On Friday, June 15th ROW Adventures  is sponsoring a gentle late afternoon raft float from Corbin, Idaho to Harvard Road, WA. For those wanting to learn about the Spokane River and/or rafting without worrying about taking a white water swim, sign-up for this trip.

On Saturday, June 16th, it’s whitewater time with FLOW Adventures. Sign-up for this trip if you want to experience Spokane’s own Class III rapids as you go through the Bowl and Pitcher and Devil’s Toenail just minutes from downtown.

Both trips are guided by professional outfitters headquartered in our region. Check out the ROW and FLOW web sites to learn about amazing trips close and far away. Once you’ve had some fun on the Spokane River, they’ll take you far and wide on memory making personal and family adventures.

And big thanks to Olive Garden for sponsoring the June 16th eco-tour. Experts will be talking about restoring red band trout, the history of the great gorge area and water quality improvements courtesy of Spokane’s Waste Water Management Department.

Meet Me at the River kayak trips start in July. Sign-up now because space is limited. Member cost is $15 per trip, non-member $25 per trip.

“The goal of Meet Me at the River,” says the Spokane River Forum’s Executive Director Andy Dunau, “is to introduce as many people to the wonders of the Spokane River as possible. Our sponsors make it possible to keep costs really low, and our volunteers provide eco-tours so you can learn about the river. Being on the river is both fun and gives you a whole new appreciation of what our area has to offer.”

Started in 2008, Meet Me at The River is the one place people can go to travel all or part of the Spokane River. Over 600 people have participated.

Beginners welcome.
