Ecology, EPA and IDEQ respond to Spokane River Stewardship Partners request for meeting and information

On June 10, Spokane River Stewardship Partners (SRSP) sent a letter to the Region 10 EPA administrator, Ecology director and IDEQ director requesting a meeting to discuss implementation of the DO TMDL. Agenda items for clarification and discussion would include a water trading program, permits, use of studies related to bio-available phosphorus and a Spokane River Advisory Committee. The SRSP letter is attached.

On July 2nd, a joint response from Ecology, EPA and IDEQ was provided. This letter is also attached.

The agencies agreed to meet with SRSP and other interested stakeholders. Further, some initial clarification was given regarding development of a trading program and the timing for issuing permits.
