Expo 50 H20 Symposium a Stunning Success

The Forum and our sponsors were thrilled that over 270 people attended the Expo 50 H20 Symposium. Opinion leaders, agency and tribal natural resource managers, business and industry representatives, the conservation community, universities, students and others made for a rich diversity of expertise and perspectives.

Our keynote speaker and regional presentations challenged us to not only celebrate environmental successes since Expo 74, but also think about the environment and opportunities for the next 50 years.

Speakers talked about climate change, drinking water for a growing population, forever chemicals and other toxics, salmon reintroduction, forest practices and more. By day’s end, a menu of options and opportunities to de-risk challenges, build resilience, lean-in to our ever-evolving circumstances, and embrace the need for imagination, innovation and collaboration were brought forward.

“It was an honor to be able to bring people together and peek into the future,” said Spokane River Forum Executive Director Andy Dunau. “We look forward to doing it again.”
