Free Splash and Play Event

On July 30, the Spokane Canoe and Kayak Club and Mt. Gear are teaming up to introduce people to the world of paddling. The event will take place at nine mile recreation area from 10 a.m to 3 p.m. Here’s the flyer: Splash and Play

The code words for this event are “fun,” “free,” “safe,” and “more fun.”

Celene Olegerisson with the Club said “We’re blessed with diverse rivers and all types of paddling opportunities. We want to introduce children and adults to these wonders in a way that’s fun, promotes safety and encourages healthy living. If you’ve ever thought ‘hey, that’d be fun to try,’ come on down.”

Along with paddling pros, various canoes and kayaks will be available for you to try.
