TJ Meenach Water Trail Access Gets a Little Fall Love
The Forum closed out our 2024 Spokane River Water Trail maintenance projects by spreading 5 dump truck loads of gravel at TJ Meenach. For our angling and rafting friends, it makes the put-in and take-out much more friendly.
“Big or small,” said Forum Executive Director Happy Avery, “it’s always about finding that sweet spot where we can do good for the environment and maximize the public’s enjoyment of the river.”
Some shout-outs to our partners who helped make this happen:
– Spokane Parks and Rec for sending their maintenance crew and backhoe to spread the gravel. Check out their Fall Activity Guide to keep you going with more adventure.
– FLOW Adventures, who has also adopted this water trail site. Since 2005, FLOW has probably put more people safely on the Spokane River than anyone.
– SPVV Landscape Architects for design and support services. We love how they describe themselves “We’re fun, yet disciplined. Creative, yet collaborative. Professional, yet relatable.”
