Upriver Scrub Nets 2,600 lbs of Trash
Saturday morning, over 125 people came out for Spokane Valley river cleanup that extended from Harvard Road to Trent Bridge. Check out the photo album to see some of the 2,600 lbs. collected.
They came as individuals and families; as corporate, recreational, non-profit, and religious groups; and as government agencies that care. A few shout-outs:
- Northwest Whitewater Association continued 30 years of cleanup efforts by leading the operation at Harvard Road.
- Spokane RiverKeeper anchored Barker Road with the irrepressible spirit and energy of Whitworth students.
- Employees from Kaiser Aluminum banded together to take care of Sullivan Park.
- The Forum’s very own team Haveman saw to it that Mirabeau was well taken care of.
- And the City of Spokane Valley’s Eric Robison teamed with Riverside State Parks to lead the biggest effort of the day at Trent Bridge.
It takes all kinds to help make our river shine. Thank you for your great work.
