Wastewater Reuse Lunch & Learn Workshop
Presenters: Bill Pearce, City of San Diego Water Research Manager & Bob Haynes, Idaho Department of Water Resources
Where: Liberty Lake Water & Sewer Building, 22510 E. Mission Ave., Liberty Lake, WA
When: 11:30 AM
There are growing concerns regarding the potential affects from climate change and the additional stresses to ground water systems that may further reduce available quantities. Reducing demand through water reuse along with conservation are good responses for communities and water systems with limited resources to reduce aquifer withdrawals while meeting the demands of the growing communities. There are a number of small to medium size water systems in North Idaho and Eastern Washington that are eitherexperiencing or may experience in the future potential water quantity concerns. It would be very beneficial if community political leaders, water system operators and consultants were aware of water reuse options and issues. The lunch and learn workshop will focus on the application of a large scale reuse project along with the water rights implications of these types of applications.
