Virtual H20 Breakfast Available on YouTube
Attended by over 130 participants, the March 31st Spokane River Forum 2021 Virtual H20 Breakfast was packed with information and dialog. Click here to view on YouTube.
Diane Taniguchi-Dennis, CEO of Clean Water Services (CWS) was our keynote. Located west of Portland in the Tualatin River Watershed, CWS serves over 600,000 customers.
Diane’s keynote spanned a 50-year history that begins with a building moratorium due to pollution and a river so impaired you could straddle it with your legs. With her “one water” message, she shares the innovations and collaborative spirit that has led to a diverse gray and green infrastructure that keeps their waterways clean and flowing.
Regional water report speakers then made ties to meeting water supply needs in the Little Spokane Watershed (Mike Hermanson, Spokane County), over the Spokane Valley – Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer (Terry Pickel, Idaho Washington Aquifer Collaborative), and the principles of sustainability guiding the City of Spokane’s work (Cadie Olsen).
Thank you to our sponsors for making this event possible and providing leadership we count on to keep our water clean, flowing and available.
