Only Rain Down the Drain for Clean Water Campaign

As the rain continues to fall, keeping pollutants out of stormwater is critical to keeping our aquifer and river clean for drinking, fish, wildlife, plants, and recreation.

Each of us can help by keeping leaky car fluids, pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and other pollutants off our streets and out of our storm drains. The same goes for leaves, pet waste and litter. That’s why we say, “Only Rain Down the Drain for Clean Water.”

With funding from the Spokane River Regional Toxics Task Force, the Forum has launched a digital and social media campaign with these stewardship messages. Click here to see the videos.

“For each month of the campaign,” said Forum Executive Director Andy Dunau “ads will be displayed on screens over 400,000 times.” That roughly translates into over 100,000 individuals seeing an ad one to four times. Continued Dunau, “The support from agencies and stakeholders in developing and sharing the ads has been terrific.”

Together, we can all make a difference.
