“I caught a 10 pounder on the Spokane River,” says Bruce Jolicoeur.
“Can I see it?”
“No, I had to delete it from my smart phone because it was too heavy.” Ba da boom.
Join us for a Spokane River access fundraiser as we share other big fish tales and films at the Bing on March 25th.
Westerly winds blew Bruce in from Chicago thirty-six years ago. Having caught the fish bug as a toddler with a bamboo pole and worms to catch blue gill on a lake in Wisconsin, he knew heavenly fishing when he touched down in the Inland Northwest.
“The St. Joe, the Grand Ronde and Clark Fork quickly became part of my DNA,” reports Bruce. “By day though, I’m a Senior Managing Director for Valbridge Property Advisors. We specialize in commercial real estate appraisal.”
“Watching the investment and redevelopment of the Spokane River is one of the most inspiring things I see. Professionally, I can tell you it’s making our area more attractive for recruiting business and talent. Personally, it’s really a big dang deal to support fishing and open up more water outside our front door. I guarantee you I’ll be pulling out at Islands Trailhead with my pontoon boat.”
“What I really like about the Spokane River Forum and their partners is how they’re collaborating to open up access while also preserving and enhancing our native red band trout population at the same time. This is a cause I and Valbridge are excited about supporting.”
