Want to get on the Spokane River but need some help? These professional guides and outfitters want to work with you to make it happen.
  • Flow Adventures, www.flow-adventures.com: Currently offering small group trips through the Great Gorge below downtown and Spokane Valley. To follow COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, spots are limited to family units and a max of seven people per van. Tubing starts about July 1 when river flows slow below 2,700 cfs. Shuttle service is available between People’s Park and TJ Meenach to make it easy for you to complete the circuit. Tube and kayak rentals also available.
  • Fun Unlimited, www.cdasports.com: About July 1, you can rent a stand up paddle board (SUP) or sit on top kayak beneath the Division St. Bridge for some instant and easy downtown fun. Paddling upstream is limited to the Gonzaga/McKinstry river access due to East Trent Bridge demolition. Some of their COVID-19 measures include hand sanitizer being available for customers, 6-foot distancing with customers, and all equipment being cleaned and sanitized between use. Their Post Falls shop is currently open.
  • Row Adventures: Through most of June, white water rafting for small groups through the Great Gorge is available. Starting in July, gentle rafting floats and sit on top kayak trips allow you to enjoy the slower moving, warmer river water from Peaceful Valley to TJ Meenach. To follow COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, spots are limited to 12 passengers.
  • Silver Bow Fly Shop, www.silverbowflyshop.com. Guided fishing trips for 1-4 people are available from State Line to Island’s Trailhead in Spokane Valley, and Redband Park to Aubrey White access below downtown. You can go after wild redband trout and some beautiful brown and cutthroat trout. Talk to these Spokane River savants and they will hook you up with the river reach that’s right for you.
  • Wiley Waters, www.riverrafting.net: Rafting through the Great Gorge below downtown is available for another 1-2 weeks. After that, scenic floats that don’t include swift rapids are available. To follow COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, spots are limited to small groups.
