Glover Field Water Trail Access takes a step closer
Years of effort to develop a nonmotorized water trail access for anglers, rafters and paddlers at Glover Field below downtown is tantalizingly close. “Within the state’s capital budget is a Department of Commerce reappropriation line item that would free up $235,000 for construction in 2018,” said Andy Dunau, the Forum’s Executive Director. The City of Spokane, River Forum, Spokane Conservation District and a host of stakeholders worked together to create a shovel ready project that meets river, neighborhood parking, trailhead and other needs. Said Dunau, “It’s a great outcome for residents and visitors alike.”
