Who Needs to Apply

The owner/operator of the facility must apply for permit coverage. The owner/operator, also known as the permittee, is responsible for applying and following the terms of the Industrial Stormwater General Permit.

The permit requires coverage for private entities, state, and local government facilities, and includes existing and new facilities.

Industrial facilities that are covered under this permit that perform construction activity 1 acre or larger require (separate) coverage under the Construction Stormwater General Permit
