Household Hazardous Waste – Special Handling Required
Do not place in curbside recycle bin. Empty containers can be placed in the curbside trash. Drop off unused hair coloring products, free of charge, at a Transfer Station’s Household Hazardous Waste site. Materials should be in closed, leak-proof containers with the contents labeled on the outside. No containers greater than 5 gallons.

Hair coloring products may contain cadmium chloride, cobalt chloride, cupric chloride, lead acetate, silver nitrate. Hair color products may cause skin and eye irritation.
