You Need to Know
Do not place packing peanuts in the curbside recycle bin. Bag the packing peanuts and place in trash for curbside pick up.
Drop off at the University Transfer Station, Earthworks Recycling or at one of the UPS stores that accept clean, dry, packing peanuts for reuse.

General Information
Packing Peanuts are expanded polystyrene, also known as EPS or plastic #6. They are classified as a plastic and have a recycle number but cannot be recycled. Try reusing packing peanuts by saving them until you have another package to send.
