Household Hazardous Waste – Special Handling Required

General Information
Look for the words "cleans with water" on the label. For small quantities, dry out and put in the trash with the lid off the paint can. If the paint is not water based take it to a Transfer Station's Household Hazardous Waste collection site.
Resources
Reuse all or give to someone who will. Check with schools, theater groups, ect. Thrift and second hand stores may accept unopened cans. Call your local police department to see if their graffiti department has a use for it. Washington's Paint Recycle Program will begin implementation in 2021.
