Budinger & Associates, Inc. has been an industry leader in the Inland Northwest since 1976. Specialties include geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, exploratory drilling, laboratory analysis, construction material testing, and special inspection services.

Materials Testing and Special Inspection

Budinger & Associates, Inc. has been at the forefront of construction materials testing since 1976. A network of state-of-the-art laboratories, complimented by a fleet of mobile laboratories, allows Budinger to provide in-house testing for projects throughout the Northwest. 

Budinger subscribes to the most stringent inspection and certification requirements in the industry. They are recognized by agencies including Idaho Transportation Department (ITD), Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL), American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and Washington Association of Building Officials (WABO) along with numerous cities and counties as a certified geotechnical, asphalt paving, materials testing and special inspection laboratory.

A construction materials laboratory is capable of testing virtually any structural material utilized in modern construction. Testing is performed by trained and certified technicians per relevant American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), Western Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction (WAQTC) or WSDOT Test Methods. In addition, custom or modified test procedures can be performed upon request. Some testing equipment and capabilities include:
