Requirements
Citizens are encouraged to dispose of any unused or unwanted medications in the Drug Turn-in Box and not in your household trash or down your drain.
In 2012 the Rathdrum Police Department purchased a Green MedReturn Box, that resembles a post office box, allowing citizens to turn in unused prescription medications 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The box is located in the lobby area of the police department. It is bolted to the concrete and locked for security.
Call to confirm acceptable materials.
The boxes do NOT take sharps. Please drop off used needles in a secured container at the Ramsey and Prairie Solid Waste Transfer Station.
