The Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD) maintains a list of permitted pumpers for convenience. It consists of companies that are currently permitted through SRHD to provide pumping services. The health district does not endorse, recommend, or warrant the work of any sewage system pumper.
The Liquid Waste (on-site sewage/septic) program at Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD) exists to ensure that on-site sewage disposal systems are properly designed and installed to prevent public exposure to sewage, and to protect ground water and surface waters in the region.

In Washington State, WAC 246-272A-0340 directs on-site sewage system pumpers to obtain approval from the local health officer prior to providing services within a local health jurisdiction.
