Some prescription containers are recyclable. Empty prescription bottles may be recycled curbside or placed in the mixed plastics bins at regional disposal sites. They must be at least 4 oz bottles. Remove and place lids in the trash.
Remember to remove all personal information from prescription bottles before you place them in the recycling bin. Either peal off the label or take a permanent marker and cover any personal information.
Some people choose to reuse their empty prescription bottles. Once your personal information has been removed then you can use it around the house. Some ideas for reuse are; seed storage, toothpick holders, change holders, miniature portable sewing kit, NON-prescription pill bottles, mini first aid kit, or ear bud holders.
