Do not put shredded paper into the curbside recycling or compost bins. It jams the SMaRT Center conveyor belt system.
Double Bag shredded paper and place it in the curbside trash. Un-bagged shredded paper may fall out of the cart and create a litter nuisance on your street.
Reuse options for shredded paper are: packing material, animal bedding, and compost
