TJ Meenach Master Planning supports improved water access, parking and trails

As part of installing stormwater catchment and other facilities, the City of Spokane is taking the opportunity to call out river access and trail improvements at TJ Meenach and the disc golf area. Click here to see concept drawings of both that were well received at a public meeting last spring.

Improvements at TJ Meenach include improved water trail access and turnaround area, expanded parking, safer vehicle entrance and exit from Downriver Drive, improved landscaping, and riparian area protection. An improved shoreline trail will connect TJ Meenach to additional trail improvements at the disc golf course.

The Forum commends the city for working well with user groups and neighborhoods to develop a multi-use plan to meet clean water, stewardship, recreational and safety needs.
