You Need to Know
Remove tips from empty aerosol cans and place in the curbside recycle bin. Full or partially full aerosol cans must be dropped off at a Transfer Station's Household Hazardous Waste site.

General Information
Use non-aerosol containers, such as pump spray, roll on or liquid.After removing the tip and lid, empty aerosol cans may go in the recycling bin. Empty means the can has no pressure or liquid residuals; it is completely sprayed out. Aerosol cans that still contain hazardous products can be dropped off free of charge at one of the Household Hazardous Waste sites.
