Tank, Helium

Helium tanks cannot be recycled at any of Spokane City or County transfer stations.

You may be able to recycle empty tanks with private scrap metal vendors.

Disposal: For empty, small disposable helium tanks (such as those used for balloons) place in the garbage. For full or partially full tanks, use up or vent first by turning the valve all the way to the left, allowing the remaining gas to escape. Place in garbage. For large helium tanks refer to the information on commercial gas cylinders.
