Paint, Oil-Based

If possible use up leftover paint for touchups, primers or undercoats or give to someone who can use it. Otherwise oil-based paint must be disposed as hazardous waste. 

Oil-based paints contain solvents that may be combustible, flammable, toxic, potentially carcinogenic or hazardous air pollutants. Pigments used to color the paint may contain toxic heavy metals such as lead or chromium.
