You Need to Know

Drop off unused chlorine bleach at one of the Transfer Stations Household Hazardous Waste sites. 

DANGER: Never mix chlorine bleach with other cleaning products such as AmmoniaDoing so can result in poisonous gasses being released that will cause very serious breathing problems. Most chlorine bleaches are labeled "corrosive" and "danger." Bleach is an eye irritant and respiratory irritant and should be used with caution. Do not use directly on skin.

Small amounts of chlorine bleach can be poured down the drain with plenty of water unless you have a septic tank.  Read the product labels to determine if it will be harmful to your septic tank.
