The Landfill/Transfer Station serves all of Whitman County. Local haulers gather waste and deliver it to the transfer station which in turns ships it to a large regional landfill. The Transfer Station provides Household Hazardous Waste Collection and accepts metal, appliances, scrap and compostable yard waste. For a fee, the Transfer Station accepts clean construction waste, tires, and friable asbestos.Whitman County Public Works Solid Waste Facility is participating in the LightRecycle Washington program. You can drop off up to ten florescent light bulbs a day.
