Household hazardous waste is accepted on Saturday and Sunday only. The site is closed on major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas).
Winter Hours (November 1 through March 31):
7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday
8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday - Sunday
Seasonal Hours (April 1 through October 31):
7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday - Sunday

Household Hazardous Waste: Household Hazardous Waste are any products from your home that may be labeled "danger", "warning", or "caution".
Recent updates to the HHW program at the Spokane County transfer stations:
- No commercial material
- No unidentified material
- No compromised or leaking containers
- Personnel will no longer be pouring flammable material, which means you will not receive your container back
- There will be a 5 gallon limit for individual HHW material types per day
- There will be a total limit of 15 gallons combined HHW material per day
Accepted materials:
- Automotive products (oil, antifreeze, gasoline, etc)
- Batteries (automotive & household)
- CFL and fluorescent light bulbs (limit 10)
- Cleaning products
- Herbicides, pesticides
- Needles/syringes/sharps
- Acrylic, oil or lead based paints
- Propane tanks (full or half full, 5lbs or smaller)
- Solvents
- Thermostats or thermometers that contain mercury
- Small arms ammunition (no explosives)

Business hazardous waste: Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators (CESQG) - FEES APPLY:
Clean Harbor and Waste Connections offer a drop off location for Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators (CESQG) by appointment ONLY on Saturday and Sunday.
- Appointment times are 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
- Call 1-509-202-7397 to schedule a Drop-Off Appointment.
- COD Only: Credit Card and check Only.
- You must be an exempt hazardous waste generator per all applicable regulations.
- CESQG businesses from outside of Spokane County are allowed to participate.
